Steph & Matt’s September Wedding

THE BACKGROUND

The original wedding was planned for May and peonies were key. The feel of the day. Eucalyptus and protea were also key in the stationery that Matt designed.

Care was taken to arrange relaxed flowers, with a modern and unstuffy feel they was key to their day. Inspired by Steph’s shoes we picked pink and apricot dahlias, Yves Piaget roses as a peony replacement and a special rose for the buttonholes and bouquets in memory of a dear friend.

The day itself was relaxed with yoga class in the ball room and then gent’s went for a walk before the ceremony.

THE STYLING

Steph and I thought about the key areas of decoration at Garthmyl Hall…. the staircase in the entrance, the marquee and the pagoda in the walled garden. Garthmyl Hall, a Georgian country house with walled gardens.

For the marquee, the key feature was a hanging installation, paired with long dining tables with a few bud vases and taper candles, to add interest and height. A green water glass, a ceramic plates, really brought everything together.

As the walled garden in itself is stunning a two sections of decoration on the bandstand was just enough.

Thanks to Steph for sharing the photos by Clara Cooper Photography.
