Its all in the details…floral necklaces

Jo here from a rather chilly Brooklyn, NYC, with the first of a new feature ~ monthly roundups of inspirational floral trends that have caught our little eyes! I’m delighted to be contributing to Rebecca’s beautiful blog, not least because she’s a great friend but also because I’ve loved watching Ivy, Pip & Rose grow from a hobby to much more. Be sure to visit the Ivy, Pip and Rose stand at the Most Curious Wedding Fair on March 6th to 8th in London to see what all my fussing is about!

We’d love to hear from you with ideas that have taken your fancy {pop a comment in the section below}, but for my first post I thought I’d look at the trend for floral necklaces that I’ve been tracking for a while. It’s certainly a fun look, and adds a modern touch to a bridal dress or bridesmaids outfit. Big, bold blooms like ranunculus and peonies work well for these arrangements, softened around the edges by green leaves and trailing twine. Ask Rebecca what will be in season when you are getting married and she’ll pick some stunners for you.

{Source: Style Me Pretty. I am madly in love with corals, pinks and greens of this Brooklyn wedding! The stylish necklace sets off the sweetheart necklace in such a pretty, delicate way and the soft-as-velvet rose in the centre keeps the arrangement looking formal enough for a city wedding}

See you next month for another fresh idea!
